This expansive, 21-acre park offers a quiet oasis in the middle of bustling http://www.cnn.com/tour/atlantadowntown Atlanta. It contains a unique feature, the world's largest interactive fountain featuring five interconnecting rings that symbolize the Olympic Games held in Atlanta in 1996.
World of Coca-Cola
Re-opened in May 2007, the new World of Coca-Cola is approximately twice the size of the original museum and will feature more than 1,200 artifacts, interactive exhibits, a pop culture gallery, and a tasting experience allowing visitors to sample products from around the world. Doors are open daily from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
CNN Studio Tours
Don't miss this "behind the scenes" peek at the frenzied world of television journalism with the CNN Studio tour. During a nearly one-hour tour, visitors will be able see demonstrations of how this 24-hour news station operates and participate in interactive exhibits. Tours are offered daily from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and making advance reservations is highly recommended.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Feeling stressed from annual meeting activities? Take a relaxing stroll through this beautiful garden right in the heart of the city. Several different landscapes are featured, including a Japanese garden, a hardwood forest, an orchid center, a rose garden, and a permanent exhibit within the conservatory of poison-dart frogs. The garden is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Margaret Mitchell House
For literature lovers and Gone With the Wind fans, this attraction can't be missed. The house where author Margaret Mitchell resided now houses memorabilia from the famed author's career and also serves as a literary center for living Southern authors. Guided tours are given continuously from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., seven days a week.
Georgia Aquarium
With eight million gallons of fresh and marine water and more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe, this aquarium is the world's largest. Enjoy viewing beluga whales, whale sharks, and other creatures of the deep, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
Turner Field
A tour of Turner Field is a must for any baseball fan. On your exploration of this state-of-the-art sports facility, you'll have a chance to see the press box, clubhouse, dugout, broadcast booth, and the not-to-be-missed Atlanta Braves Museum and Hall of Fame. Tours operate Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
